PNF, I thought I knew PNF. I was not sure I needed to take the time for this class. I had
previously been taught PNF stretching and to strengthen the ankle. What a difference a
full weekend made to my skills. We were taught specific positioning to protect ourselves
as we had to strengthen the entire lower extremity: Pelvis, Hip, Knee, ankle and foot. I
am able to stretch the lower extremity in multiple planes, especially TFL and Gluteus
Medius. I never knew how to strengthen the pelvis or realized the importance of the
entire lower extremity. -
Lower Extremity PNF offered me more than expected. I had never seen stretching
using the PNF Diagonals, only traditional stretching using contract relax. When you
realize how we move, why isn’t everyone stretching in multiple planes. Strengthening in
multiple planes of movement just makes sense. Everyone’s activities are not in one
plane of movement, why would you only stretch of strengthen in only one plane ? Great
course for anyone in Kinesiology, Personal Training, Sports Medicine and
Rehabilitation. -
I was fortunate to complete both the Upper and Lower Extremity PNF courses, and they have been game-changers for my practice. Gary is an inspiring and incredibly knowledgeable instructor, making complex concepts accessible and easy to apply. Thanks to these courses, I now use PNF techniques with confidence to stretch and strengthen in all three planes of motion.
The skills I’ve gained have been invaluable in my private practice, especially in teaching Pilates, Yoga, and Personal Training. These techniques have elevated the quality of my sessions, helping my clients achieve better results and improving my overall approach to movement.
